Apaliin Trail

Mt. Pinatubo Trekking

Camping
Fill your knapsack with goodies and count yourself in for a night of forest adventure: watch bats fly (all 25, 000 of them) right from JEST Camp view deck ; trek your way through the Apaliin Trail; see fireflies adorn trees with their petite gleams at Triboa Bay Mangrove Park; and make a final bow after receiving your certificate of completion before the other participants giving rounds of applause for a night of fulfillment and fascination.

Hiking
Following the trails in the valleys behind the nearby Barrio Baretto leads you to excellent hiking activities up the mighty Zambales Mountains. Upon reaching the plateau, you are in for nature's showcase of abundant flora and fauna.

(JEST Camp) Jungle Environment Survival Training Camp
Conquer the twists and turns of the wilderness with a premier jungle survival skills demo and tour at JEST Camp. The same instructors that trained US Special Forces and Navy Seals for extensive understanding of the forests will give you detailed insights, through a wide-ranging demonstration of survival techniques. Learn which vine you can drink safe water from, roast coffee from indigenous seeds, or discover a bark that can be pound for anesthetic purposes.

HILL 394

Hill 394 is found in the eastern part of Ilanin Forest. Called as such because it used to be a secret helipad 394 feet above sea level, intentionally constructed in the forest for military secrecy. It is home to 51 species of birds and 151 species of trees. A panoramic view of the lush forests, Zambales and Bataan mountains can be enjoyed at the top of the hill. The hilltop is accessible by a four-wheel drive vehicle or is a 45-minute trail hike. The hill is perfect for picnics, trail ride, mountain biking, camping and bird watching.
